chemical plant, I use 99.9% IPA, (isopropanol),
every day. It is a defatting agent as was
mentioned earlier. It isn't as toxic through skin
absorbtion as others might think.
The white stuff you are seeing is most likely the
thermal grease residue that is not soluable by the
70/30 IPA/Water solution you are using.
Clean your hands for twenty years with IPA and you
may have skinny, cracked, fingers. Use it a little
diluted to clean things every so often.......its OK.
