Netscape? Ick. Just tried it. It's as horrible as I remember it. Konqueror, however, is sweet. However, you sound like a GNOME fan so I won't attempt to evangelize KDE to you

I was thinking about a Debian based distro, but I don't know how hard it is to install. With Mandrake, they had some nice animated gifs on their website showing the whole install process and I felt confident enough to give it a try.
