on context here. could you rephrase the question? You need to move the files of the socket 7 to the BX, and then to another drive from there? If so just toss the drive into the BX, and yank the files, and stick it back. might want to put the drive as secondary master so you won't have to change any jumpers. You'd need to take the CD ROM out of the chain for a few though.
