Restart your computer in MSDOS mode.

At the C:\> prompt, type in Scanreg /Fix (notice the space between the 'g' and the '/'

Press Enter.
When it finishes, just type in WIN & press enter.

All should be fixed.

Windows will scan System.ini and Win.ini as well as the registry, fixing any problems it can find with default values.
