limitation. As far as I know you can go up to 640 MB in DOS but no more. one of the reasons is that W9x loads the memory top to bottom, that is, starting at the highest memory addresses and then working backwards. The same happens in Windows if you go above 820 MB, the addresses specified are outside the limitation of the OS and that's why you get an "out of memory error"
