I would not want to provoke a conflict with China. But China has to realize that Taiwan in independant ( since 1949 ) and stop bullying Taiwan.

During elections on Taiwan ( 1992 or 1996, not sure ). The US sent two aircraft carriers to the Taiwan strait. One of them was the USS Independence
