Host and Remote permits dial up PC to PC communication (gives you to the ability to control the host using the remote). The Host version permits you to set up a host to accept instructions from a multitude of remotes. Usually one sees a remote version sold seperately rather than the Host. Probably others have more experience, mine being only with the remote version.You should be able to get the full story on Nortons web site.
