hi i was just wondering if there was any way to make say a pentium 3 1ghz slot 1 fit into a socket motherboard..i know there is slocket for flip chips to fit into slot one motherboards but i was wondering if you could do it the other way...i wanted to know because i want to get a p3 1 ghz and be able to overclock it to 1.4ghz..i would be able to do that with a slot one p3 thast runs a 100fsb and run it a 140fsb..they make two slot one 1ghz's one that runs at 100fsb wiht a multiplier of 10 and the other that runs 133fsb wiht multi of 7.5...i haev a socket motherboard an ABIT VP6 dual processor..i was hoping to overclock the cpus to hopefully get 1400mhz a cpu totalling 2800 by setting the fsb to 140 with a multiplier of ten..but the flip chis only run a 133 so it would only boost 50mhz if i set the fsb to 140..so am i in luck or will i have to settle wiht the measly 50mhz boost..i havent bought the processors yet..but i have been researching this for a little while..so if you guys got any tips fill me in plz! |
