1-Is it possible your PS actualy is an AT. I have a FIC 503A MB that can use both AT and ATX PS. You have to set jumpers on MB to whatever PS you will be using.
2- I have that same chip, you have to set the dips for a 100mhz cpu and the speed of your sdram which could be 66 or 100.
3-As cpu is uses 100FSB, the multiplyer should have been set at 3x for your old processor, should be 5x for this one.
3- My particular board also requires the voltage set for the CPU, in the case of the K6-2/500 I think it is ( I think) 2.2, but that info can be obtained off the AMD site.
4- Assuming of course that you are not overclocking!
