I've got one running 525 with a Global Win VEK12 cooler. I'm pretty sure it could go a bit higher, but the PC100 it's running with might not.

There were actually 2 different P2 300's. Somebody correct me if I have the names wrong, but the original P2 300 was around the top speed of the Klamath core on a .35 micron process. The later P2 300's (like the famous SL2W8 stepping), were the bottom speed of the Katmai core, on a .25 micron process. The Katmai was sold at up to 450 MHz, at which point Intel added SSE and called it the P3.

It seems that quite a few of the Katmai P2 300's are god for at least 450 MHz, just by changing the FSB from 66 to 100 MHz. Put the FSB at 133 MHz, and you've got a 600 MHz chip, but mine won't make it that high with the cooler I'm using.
