Ok, this board is having fits with Win2K. It's an AMD 751 northbridge and a VIA Apollo southbridge. The CPU is a Tbird 700 (SlotA).
I had a hell of a time installing the BM drivers on the previous installation (which eventually hagged the machine and I had to reinstall). The performance is horrible compared to Win98SE, and I can't stand it.
Drive access seems to be seriously laggy with the default Win2K BM drivers (Via). Should I use the latest VIA BM drivers from their site, or a previous version, or stick with the default MS drivers? I'm relucant to install the VIA drivers again after the hell they caused the last time.
Anyone know any tricks/drivers/settings to get this thing back up to speed?
