Outlook Express in home network

I had a gateway 550 mz with win98se and bought a compaq 833 mz with winMe. I put a network card in the gateway (the compaq already had one) I had no problem getting them to share internet access (dialup) On the compaq in windows Me in OE I put in my OE name and password The new messages are the only ones that come up. When i try to opened Outlook express on the gateway it shows all my old messages in the count but won't open. A dialup window popsup and when i hit connect I get an error in msimn. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
