Since everyone else is on the bandwagon....
I have had 4 Intel systems in the pased and have been mostly pleased with them, but decided to build an AMD box for the practice (and price/preformance ratio).
I just put toghether a 1.2 TB, KT7A raid, 256 Mushkin PC-133 cas2, Visiontek GTS2 Ultra, Two 45G IBM 7200's and a good 300W PS.
All I can say is that besides taking a little extra time to figure out the raid configuration and a few odd blue screens during setup (due to a driver issue) I am very happy with this setup. It is peppy to say the least (I can get 9000 on 3Dmark 2000 with stock settings). I run a stripped down install of 98SE and keep my startup to explorer and systray.
I am not even running a case fan other than the one on the PS and have yet to get a lockup. I even like the fact that when I select shutdown frome the start button it "shuts down" it less than 5 secs. Unkike my other systems that seem to have to decide..."hummm do I feel like shutting down or do I just want to display the Windows screen and keep thingking about it"
I have not found anything to complain about yet.
