I got a surprize yesterday when I went to change
my two lastest computer swaps (MoBo's & CPU's) from RC5 crunching to 3D games in windows.

In the past with the 2 new ABit KT7's (non raid)
& 700 MHz Tbirds I had to back down the muliplier 1 bin to get into windows & one more bin to get 3D games going for hours.

The second KT7 now has a Duron 700 which did RC5
@ 10.5 multi, thou there was no real speed change display & very little extra RC5 code now does 3D games @ 1 gig very cool.

The bad 700 MHz TBird CPU which did 50 MHz less on the ABit KT7 then the first 700 MHz TBird on a
KT7. I put this bad TBird on the ASUS AV7 & got
50 MHz more then the good TBird on RC5 crunching.
Yesterday I setup the A7V for 3D games & to my surprize I did not have to drop the multiplier one
bin & tested it for hours, very very cool. So the
bad CPU (A7V@900) is running faster then the good CPU on the KT7 (850 MHz).

I guess you have to match the MoBo with the proper
CPU, thou I did not test the A7V with the 700 MHz
Duron I think that would be a waste of a good MoBo

So I am very happy Bob
