$600 for a 64 meg video card with just one chipset? It's not like the voodoo cards where
you can have 2 or 4 chipsets per card, in that case you can understand the high cost.
The accepted norm for new 3D cards is maybe $350 or so max for a single chipset
based 3D card, then the price comes down after awhile, then when the new card comes
out to take the top spot from the older model, it assumes the approx. $350 level and
so on with each new single chipset card. But $600? You can get a good MB, fast Athlon
and ram for not much more than that. Is Nvidia nuts, how many gamers can afford to drop
that much on a board that will be replaced with a gf4 a year from now?

They'd sell a whole lot more boards if you could buy one for $350 (64 meg).

I do like the option to get 128 meg, I was wondering how long it would take the graphics
chipset makers to offer a 128 meg ram version of their latest cards. That will handle
even the largest texture sets for quite awhile, no problem.
