I just bought a used Thinkpad 760EL. One of the accessories the guy included with it was what he said was a CPU upgrade card. It supposedly could upgrade my machine to 300 Mhz??
I have some experience piecing together desktop machines but am new to laptops and do not know where to install this card or even who manufactures it.
The card has two "connecters" that seem to be where the card would connect to the motherboard. On the other side of the card is an oddly shaped piece of this metal that looks to be covering something, possibly the upgrade CPU?
My assumption is that the card goes somewhere under the metal plate under the keyboard.
BTW, I would give more information on this card, but there is very little writing on it.
