You will not be able to low level that HD as for a long long time now HD's have smart controllers
which can not be bypassed to do a low level format.
But you can give SpinRite 5.0 a try as this can bring back some bad sector's or maybe keep
the sector bad & tell the smart controller hay you have a bad cluster here replace it with a good
sector that you have stored hidden away. If this product does not work you can get your money
back I believe. I bought the program & I have kept it as I like it alot.

One other thing you did not mention is that if you are Over Clocking your computer as sometimes a HD that can not handle the OCing will crap out over time or right away.

The only other way to go I know of is send the HD back to the Manufacture as they could fix the
HD or give you a new one.
