I got this new chip on an ABIT board last week. I installed it with a big heat sink/fan combo, yet I still reach 122F/50C easily after running just a few minutes. I also installed an ATI AGP Rage 32M card which I had to remove, because everytime I used heavy video (game, movie, etc) the machine would freeze. The video card has a tendency to get very hot just like the CPU. System temperature appears normal. What could be going wrong here? Is it a BIOS setting? |
