Alright, I was overclocking my duron 800 that is 'unknown to be unlocked' (it works, so hey... it must be unlocked) and I up the voltage, tinker here, with cpu multiplier etc.
get some extra horsepower here...
however, when I shut the comp down and reboot, I found that the cpu multiplier remains the 'overclocked setting' whereas the voltage returns to default.
anything to remedy this?
I am a dope with updating bios' as I have read that they can be fatal if you haven't done it right.
I've already had a duron 600 casualty to a mishap and don't wanna fork out more..
help is appreciated.
