I also use this with my ORD drive with no problems so far.
If you buy a Maxtor HD the MaxBlast version will do WD's also without any Maxtor's on the
system, the freebee version requires at least one Maxtor drive. I bet MaxBlast work on the
other types of HD's but I have not tried them.
