I have a Biostar MVKB R-1.1 board w/AMD 650mhz.
The rest is not important. I was hoping I could
run my SD-RAM at 133 mhz on this board.
(Advertized as both 100 & 133). When I get the
board, the JCLK1 clock selector is nothing but a
soldered bit of barness on the board. (R1.1 is
"optional" it says). (The chart associated with
the phantom pin settings states that you can run
the CPU clock at 100 through 133 leaving the PCI
bus at 33.3 mhz at both 100 or 133 if you wish. Is
there a way, by the bios or by software, that I
can bump the CPU clock to 133. (I have good
quality PC133 mem on board).
In the award bios, under "advanced chipset
features", D-RAM CLOCK, the choices are
default(host clk), HCLK-33, HCLK+33, SPD.
I only want to run 133 but not overclock YET!
Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated!
This auto detects the CPU as of now. I don't want
to fry it just yet. The prices of the 1+ gigs are
still out of my reach.
Thanks,
booman2
