Now a virus seems likely but I doubt it is the case. It is a possibility though.
Try defragging and scandisking your drive and then reboot and try again. It might just be a silly 95 error. After all 95 wasn't the best thing to come out of Redmond.
Depending on your computer specs. An upgrade to WinME isn't a bad choice.
I have a computer running it that has a 200MHz Pentium PRo in it and only 64MB of RAM. It is going great... no speed problems or anything. Look into it. It might not be a bad investment IMHO.
