I doubt its a crossover. USB was designed to never really have a cable from A to A. Thats why u can only buy A to B and situff like that. That is because they didn't want people hooking up to pcs with a A to A cord. The reason... Power runs though usb and the computers would have shorted each other out. The thingy you were talking about isn't the crossover... this isn't cat 5 cabling... I bet it just makes it so the computers can talk to each other with out frying each other.
