This is one weird problem. I have a Toshiba 16X DVD drive. When copying a lot of data from a CD or installing software, the computer will shut down halfway through. It doesn't hang, it shuts down like someone hit the shutdown button on the Start menu (and no, I don't see the "Your computer will now shut down" screen). All I can say is, HUH?!
