Just downloaded and used EAC for the first time last night. Ripped 3 CDs (all Lawrence Welk) without any trouble, then encoded the ripped wav files into mp3 via audioactive studio. Not a single hiss, crackle or skip in the final mp3s.

And I'm using Win2k wiht sp1, 512MB RAM, dual celeron 600.
