A freind of mine bought some PC-133 ram, he asked for "CAS 2 at 133Mhz" and the guy told him thats what it is (And he had to pay a bit extra for "CAS 2").

I was helping him install the ram, everything worked perfectly at CAS 2 and 133Mhz, i decided to run CTSPD just to see what the SPD says and i was surprised that it said that the ram is "CAS 3 at PC-133 and CAS 2 at PC-100/PC-66"

The ram seems perfectly stable at PC-133 CAS2... But it's CAS 3 ram!

Should he take the ram back and ask for the money difference (Since he paied for CAS2) or should he just keep it? I'm not sure how much the price difference was but he didnt pay too much for the ram compared to other places.

BTW it uses Kingmax CHIPS, are the CAS 3 Kingmax chips "ok" at CAS 2? (Is this a known thing or was he just lucky?)
