When I try putting an audio cd into my DVD-ROM drive (Pioneer DVD-113), it causes Windows to freeze. Sometimes after this freeze I get a message about a missing component for VFAT or something like that, so I have to reinstall Windows. I never used to have this problem before upgrading to a new mobo and processor. What would be causing this? I have a Duron 700 (not OC'd), 256MB PC100, Maxtor 30.7GB drive on ATA-66 Primary Master, Pioneer DVD-113 on ATA-33 Primary slave, Ricoh MP7040A on Secondary Master, and IBM 10.1 GB on ATA-33 Secondary Slave, Epox EP-8KTA+ motherboard, using VIA 4-in-1 drivers ver 4.24 (tried 4.25 drivers but they caused my Hollywood + to stop working), SB Live, Voodoo3 2000 AGP, 3Com 3C-905B, Hollywood +, and Zoom ISA 56K modem. |
