Subject: Is cas2 RAM really worth an extra 100$?

Looking at memory prices, I noticed that 256MB of
CAS3 RAM costs about 75$ whereas CAS2 RAM costs
about 175$...
I know that CAS2 RAM is supposed to be faster, but
is it that much better? On my system switching
the ram timing from CAS3 to CAS2 didn't seems to
improve performance a great deal.
