When you install Win2K, security allows the Everyone group full control over the drives (meaning anyone logging in can do whatever they want). I removed this to improve security. I only wanted myself and the admin account any access whatsoever. However, in doing so, I was locking out the OS from doing what it needed to do. To fix the problem, I gave the System Group full access to the drives and reset the pagefile and now everything is OK. Just figured I'd let you know in case you have problems with Win2K while testing a certain non-Intel multiprocessor mobo
