But don't different combinations of the bridges being closed equal different multipliers? Couldn't you just refer to one of those tables listing CPU multiplier against bridges and then choose your multiplier and bridge appropriately?

If you close all the bridges does it unlock the multiplier completely and if so what would a board without multiplier adjustments detect the CPU as if you plugged it in?
