I believe the URL is officeupdate.microsoft.com.

It can be annoying when someone sends you an .EXE or .DOC or other "illegal" file type, and it automatically deletes it without prompting. But, I just tell people to ZIP everything they send me. Makes more sense to ZIP files anyway, since they won't bog down the mail server as much.
