I bought an Intel WS440BX mainboard (OEM) and now I need a processor. It does not say that it will work with a Celeron (with a slot 1 adapter), but is it true that any board that has a slot 1, will accept a celeron? (with adapter)

Where have you found the least expensive processors? I have been using pricewatch.com to compare prices. Any other ideas?

Also, does the 512k cache in the PII really out-perform the 128k in the celeron. (comparing 400 Mhz to 400 Mhz)
