upping CPU core voltage to the max helps but you
should have at least a crome ORB or better for cooling the CPU better. Also you may be able to
fool around with the ram settings ?.

You could also unlock the CPU multiplier & raise the CPU speed only. On one of my AMD systems I played with the FSB speed first, found the max
setting.
Then I upped the CPU speed thru the multiplier
settings till no longer stable with heavy 3D games in windows, then backed down one bin.
Later on I got more CPU speed by playing with the setting of both.
